Pressure Cooking Today Redesign
Pressure Cooking Today has a brand new, sleeker, faster, better looking design!
Lindsay, Purr Design, is the talented designer who took my vision of what I wanted for Pressure Cooking Today and made it a reality. She gave the Pressure Cooking Today logo a fresh, fun update, but used similar colors on the page so my readers would still feel at home when you drop by for a visit.
More and more of you are visiting Pressure Cooking Today using the browser on your mobile devices, and the old design could take some time to load on mobile. Which was frustrating if you’re at the store looking up what ingredients you needed to buy for a recipe. Now, Pressure Cooking Today will load quickly on your mobile devices too!
In addition to loading faster, I wanted to make Pressure Cooking Today easier to navigate. Pressure Cooking Today now has a great new recipe index. You can search for a recipe using a keyword search, by tag or, my favorite–you can search by category.
Once you select a Category, you can scroll through the Visual Index of the recipes, or you can click on a subcategory which will bring up a Visual Index of the subcategories.
At the top and the bottom of the posts, there’s links to sharing sites, so it’s easy to Pin a recipe to save it for later, or share it on Facebook or Twitter.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out the new look! I really do have the best readers. Thank you so much for your comments and support.
Have fun!
Love the new page design!! Love your recipes!! Thanks so much for all you do!!!
That’s so sweet – thanks Donna!
I see IP owners can make yogurt and popcorn in their pots. I have a Harvest Cookware electric pressure cooker. Is it possible to do these things in it? If so, do I need to buy anything?
Barbara,
Love the new design! Linsey and you really knocked it out of the park! Very easy to use and super fast. Kudos to you both
It looks very nice … but oh my gosh those fonts are teeny tiny and I can’t read the words under the pictures.
Hi Jan – I’m sorry the font is difficult for you to read. Are you visiting on a mobile device or a desktop?
Very nice, love the speed of the page load! One question: I’m not seeing the subcategory option. I did search in Soup for potato and got all recipes with potatoes, thought it might be just soup with potatoes. What do I need to do? Thanks!
Thanks Brenda! Lindsay had a meat category with the pork, chicken, and beef as subcategories, but I changed that for the browse recipes menu.
Wow, super fast load! Very nice new look. I’ll let you know how I like it as I poke around more. I’ve gotten tons of great information and ideas from your site just in the few weeks I’ve been visiting, Thanks for all the great work you’ve done!!!
Thanks Alice – have fun poking around!
Well! I think this is a fabulous change! I’m in my late 70’s and I love the new format…the pictures are inviting, the index is easy to use, and the whole site is up-beat and just draws you in to explore. Well done and Bravo!
Thanks Sunny – you brightened my day for sure!
Sorry,I like it the old way.
Hi Mary – I hope in time you’ll come to like it better. It’s definitely running much more smoothly.
Not only does it look great, I’m looking forward to using the visual index in the categories. Nice job.
(When I was consulting, my designer made a graphic from my name. No logo, just my name. I liked using it.) I hope you enjoy the new look as much as I did.
Bill
Thanks William! I love the visual index as well. Sometimes a simple design is best.
Love it!!
Thanks Kenna!
Great design! Much more user friendly, thanks for the thought put into the site! SUCCESS!
Thanks so much Lois!
I’m so happy I found your site! The design and recipes look wonderful and I’ve just printed out a soup recipe to try in my brand new Instant Pot! Thank you for making it seem so much less intimidating, and more fun!
Thanks Suzi – I’m glad you found me too. Have fun!
Love the new design and your recipes!
That’s so nice – thanks Bonnie!
Love it. Very easy to adjust to the chamges.
Thanks Karen!
Love the new look…but I can’t find the app on Google Play for a Android….is there one??
Hi Dennis – sorry for the confusion. I don’t have an app. Pressure Cooking Today is faster on mobile devices using your browser.
Love your design and the fact it can be mobile. But I have a Kindle Fire HD Tablet and it does not look like you have any app for Kindle with Amazon. Oh well that’s life.
Thanks Jann! Sorry for the confusion. I don’t have an app. Pressure Cooking Today is faster on mobile devices using your browser.
Very nicely done.
Thanks so much Chase!
Très beau site. Je réalise vos recettes avec mon instantcook.
