Instantly Sweet Dessert Cookbook Announcement
I’m so excited to officially announce my latest project: a new cookbook focused exclusively on making desserts in your Instant Pot or other brand of electric pressure cooker! Instantly Sweet: 75 Desserts and Sweet Treats from Your Instant Pot or Other Electric Pressure Cooker is on track to be released September 2018!
For this cookbook, I’ve teamed up with my friend and former Pressure Cooking Today contributor, Marci Buttars from tidbits-marci.com. Marci has a knack for using wholesome ingredients and sneaking a little bit of healthy into traditional desserts. However, when she lets loose, she makes a fierce cheesecake and is the queen of lava cakes in the electric pressure cooker! Between the two of us, we’ve created an awesome range of dessert recipes that really harness what this awesome machine can do!
Preordering Instantly Sweet
Even though release day is a couple months away, you can preorder your copy of Instantly Sweet today! If you do, it will ship right to your door as soon as it’s ready! I can’t stress enough how important preorders are—they help my publisher determine how many copies to print in the initial printing. Plus, they encourage traditional brick-and-mortar booksellers to stock their shelves with copies of this cookbook.
If you’re planning to buy this book, please consider preordering to make sure we have enough copies available for everyone who’s interested.
What’s Inside Instantly Sweet?
The full title is Instantly Sweet: 75 Desserts and Sweet Treats from Your Instant Pot or Other Electric Pressure Cooker. There’s actually a few more than 75 recipes, because we wanted to include a few non-pressure-cooker basics like vanilla whipped cream and pie crusts for the newbie cooks.*)
The cookbook starts with a quick pressure cooker guide, equipment recommendations, and tips for getting the best results on the dessert recipes. The recipes themselves are divided into the following sections:
- Quick Breads & Breakfasts
- Cheesecakes
- Lava Cakes
- Cakes
- Pies
- Cobblers & Fruit Desserts
- Custards & Puddings
- Sauces, Fillings, and Toppings
Basically, we want to be your go-to source for making sweets your Instant Pot or other electric pressure cooker! So in addition to the 75+ recipes we’ve included, we’ve also included a number of ways to change up the flavors to create even more variations! (For example, swap the pineapple topping for chocolate ganache and almond slices, and your Tropical Cheesecake becomes an Almond Joy Cheesecake.)
Recipes for the Instant Pot and Other Brands of Electric Pressure Cooker
In addition, Instantly Sweet recipes are written for all brands of electric pressure cooker—Instant Pot to Fagor to Power Pressure Cooker XL to so many others. The recipe instructions are easy to follow with any brand, and nearly every recipe uses one of just two buttons: High Pressure and Saute. (The one exception is the yogurt recipe we’ve included, which only works with pressure cookers that have a yogurt setting.)
We are tremendously proud of this cookbook and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

* A quick note: Please don’t give us a 1-star review because we included a whipped cream recipe! We debated whether to include it, but since we use it in so many recipes, we decided to just do it. For the veteran whipped cream cooks, we’ve included a tip about stabilizing your whipped cream, so hopefully you’ll learn something too!
what is the difference between this new cookbook and your instant pot dessert cookbook that came out in October?
Hi Jane – this is an older post that announced the cookbook before it was released. There is just one Instant Pot dessert cookbook, not another new one coming out. Thanks for the question.
Just in time for the holidays! Will it be available on Kindle? Thanks
Oh yay! Preordered! I personally would love a kindle version. All my recipes are there in paprika app & I have a dedicated kindle fire in my kitchen, lol! Can’t wait for this cookbook! Desserts are about the only thing I haven’t done much in my pressure cooker, other than cheesecake.
Just out of curiosity, what is the deal with the whipped cream recipe? Sounds great to me. (From someone who ‘s never made whipped cream from scratch, cooking for 1-2 & apparently living under a whipped cream recipe rock. I can’t imagine a 1 star review for including a whipped cream recipe – that’s just mean).
Very VERY exciting! I know there’s going to be lots of temptingly delicious recipes between those covers. I do love making dessert in the pressure cooker and having both your and Marci’d other cookbooks and using them all the time,
for sure this one is sure to be a winner. I guess it’s kind of wishing summer away but…I can’t wait until September! 🙂
