HOW TO COOK
Frozen Chicken
IN THE
Chicken breasts are so versatile. They’re a great base for lots of delicious meals & when you have a pressure cooker, frozen chicken isn’t a problem!
Pour 1 cup water in the cooker.
THE CHICKEN
Defrosting
Place chicken on a Trivet above water
Cook on HIGH pressure for 1 minute.
COOK TIME
Determine
Cook time will vary based on the size & thickness of the breasts
To determine a cook time by thickness: Use 5 to 6 minutes of cook time per inch at the thickest part of the breast.
To determine a cook time by weight: Add 1 minute of cook time for each ounce of chicken.
For Shredded chicken: Add 3-4 minutes to instructions above
Cooking
ON A TRIVET OR NOT
To cook on a trivet: Place 1 cup of water or liquid at the bottom of the cooker. Lay chicken on top of the trivet.
To cook right in the pot: Place 1 cup of water or liquid at the bottom of the cooker. Lay chicken directly inside the liquid

THE RELEASE
Release naturally for just 5 minutes, then finish with a quick pressure release.
THE TEMPERATURE
Check
Frozen chicken breasts should reach an internal temperature of 165°F at the thickest part of the meat
