I bought one too! I have a Fagor 8 qt. stove top and use it fairly often. The reviews of these electric cookers are so positive that I decided to buy one and looked at the InstantPot Duo. I have Amazon Prime and when I saw this deal, I grabbed it. I was about to buy a “open box” for the same price.

So far I have cooked water and last night baby back ribs which came out perfectly.

My Fagor 8 qt. is a beast to wash. I made some chili and in spite of browning in a skillet, burned some meat to the bottom of the pot. ZAP, a steel choreboy and elbow grease saved the pot. ZAP worked as dish soap wasn’t going to do it.

I just impulsively bought this cooker from Amazon. It was such a great deal I couldn’t pass it. I’m someone who has been going out for takeout for years and I’m looking to find time to have fun with cooking and also try to eat more healthy. This will be an exciting lifestyle change. I’ve been reading up on a lot of great recipes and found this website. I can’t wait to get started!

In your personal opinion do you think a 6 quart one is big enough for a family of seven with four boys?! Or should I save up for the 8 qt one?
