    Pressure Cooker Turkey Rice Porridge Recipe<\/h3>\n

    Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 600 grams or more leftover turkey, uncooked or cooked<\/li>\n
    • 6 1\/2 cups (1.625L) cold water<\/li>\n
    • 2\/3 cup (160g) Jasmine Rice<\/li>\n
    • 2 carrots (160g), roughly chopped<\/li>\n
    • 2 stalks celery (120g), roughly chopped<\/li>\n
    • 3 medium garlic cloves (200g), minced<\/li>\n
    • 1 medium onion (200g), sliced<\/li>\n
    • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil<\/li>\n
    • 1 -2 stalks green onion, finely chopped for garnish<\/li>\n
    • Kosher salt and ground black pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Let’s get cooking!<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

      Step 1
      \nHeat up the Pressure Cooker<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      First, heat up your pressure cooker. Make sure your pot is as hot as it can be.<\/p>\n

      Step 2
      \nSaut\u00e9 Vegetables<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Pour one tablespoon of olive oil into the pressure cooker.<\/p>\n

      Add in the sliced onion and saut\u00e9 until soften, it takes about a minute.<\/p>\n

      Add in minced garlic and saut\u00e9 until fragrant, it takes roughly 30 seconds.<\/p>\n

      Add in chopped celeries & carrots. Season with kosher salt and ground black pepper. Then, saut\u00e9 until lightly brown (~5 \u2013 7 minutes).<\/p>\n

      Step 3
      \nDeglaze<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Pour \u00bd cup (125ml) cold water into the pot and deglaze the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon.<\/p>\n

      Step 4
      \nPressure Cook the\u00a0Rice Porridge<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Add 2\/3 cup of Jasmine rice (160g), leftover turkey (if uncooked) and the remaining cold water (6 cups) into the pot.<\/p>\n

      Close lid and pressure cook:<\/p>\n

      Cooking Method:<\/strong> High Pressure for 30 minutes
      \nPressure Release Method:<\/strong> Full Natural Release<\/p>\n

      Open the lid carefully.<\/p>\n

      Step 5
      \nSeason & Thicken<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      If your leftover turkey is cooked, add it to the rice porridge at this step.<\/em><\/p>\n

      Bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Then, stir until desired consistency.<\/p>\n

      Season with sea salt.<\/p>\n

      Step 6
      \nServe<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Lastly, garnish with finely chopped green onions and serve!<\/p>\n

      Turkey Rice Porridge Cooking Tips<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      1. Using Cooked Leftover Turkey:<\/strong>\u00a0If you’re using cooked turkey meat for this recipe, ensure to mix in the turkey\u00a0in Step 5.<\/p>\n

      2. Using Rinsed Rice:<\/strong> If you rinse the rice prior to pressure cooking, be sure to remove 3 tablespoons of cold water from the 6 \u00bd cups of cold water.<\/p>\n
