Thanks Barry! The Fagor LUX LCD is a great pressure cooker. All my recipes are created using a 6 quart pressure cooker. If a recipe doesn’t have much liquid in the recipe, you may have to add additional liquid and sauce ingredients to get the same flavor. I aim for 1 cup of liquid in the 6 quart, you’ll probably want to be about 1 1/2 cups in the 8 quart just to be caution. If a recipe uses ingredients that releases a lot of liquid as it cooks, you may be able to use less – pork shoulder and chicken for example.

Awesome recipes. Well done. Question (not sure you have time for questions) I have an 8 qt Fagor LUX LCD and it seems most recipes (everywhere) are designed for 6 qt pressure cookers. Do I need add more water for an 8 qt pot vs a 6 qt pot? If so, won’t that change the amount of the other ingredients?

Ordered in Canada! I love my 6 qt and wanted to add the 8 qt for large batch cooking of soups and corn on the cob. This size should do me well 🙂

Great idea to keep two rings. I imagine you can get a lot of peppers in the 8 quart. Have fun!

I just grabbed one….that’s going to make life SO much easier when I’m cooking 2 corned beef at once. Even making a bigger pot of stock (like at Thanksgiving when we have a big turkey)-this will give me plenty of room and I won’t have to worry about the pot being too full. I’m a happy person right now. 🙂

Woke up this morning thinking about how many stuffed peppers I could pack in there. lol I also bought two rings for the pot; one black and one clear. Easier to remember which one is the savory ring. I’ve been wanting to add an 8 qt to complement my 6 qt for awhile now for bigger batches of soups, etc. Thanks again.
