Mary, this is a great idea! It would make for some great flavor combinations to mix up all the breads! I always feel guilty getting rid of the ends, but my strategy is to flip them over on a peanut butter sandwich and hope my kids don’t notice them!

😂😂😂 Carol, I love it! You really should try it, it really is a good one! It freezes really well so you don’t have it laying around all day!

Hi Sam! I’m sorry to hear about your pressure cooker breaking—that’d be a big setback for dinner at our house.

This recipe is very similar to Barbara’s Raspberry Bread Pudding recipe on her site. https://www.barbarabakes.com/raspberry-bread-pudding/ I’d follow the instructions there, just add the orange concentrate and swap the orange/lemon extract for the vanilla. And in the oven, using stale bread is even more important! I hope it turns out great!

Unfortunately, my pleasure cooker just broke. How would you convert this to a stovetop recipe? Thanks!

keep
adding to it until I have enough to make bread pudding etc. It turns out that I have all kinds of bread in that bag which makes the pudding very interesting. And if I don’t feel like making something I just give my bag to a friend who has chickens and they think they are in heaven.

Good grief, if I indulged a little too much on this treat (and I fear it would be very hard NOT to), your description of how to tell when bread pudding is done would describe MY middle! It sure would be worth it though. 🙂
