Thanks Kathie – yes, the water in the recipe is the updated amount.

Making this tonight. Is the extra 1/2 cup water reflected in the recipe as written or should I add to the amount shown in the recipe? This sounds like a tasty meal and am excited to try it! Thanks for your great recipes and help!!

I’m so sorry you had trouble with it! We’d made it a few times in our Nova without problem, but had a similar problem when we did it in our Pro, so I added another 1/2 cup of water to the recipe to be safe so it’d work in all models.

Followed the recipe as written. Although I did not get a burn notice (6qt Duo) the Ziti was burnt to the bottom. I was able to save it minus the burnt portion and just mix everything up in another pan. I’ve never had anything burn or stick before. I’ll try adding more water next time. The end result still turned out delicious although my family felt there was too much of the bread crumb mixture. Next time I’ll only make half of the topping.

Sorry you had trouble with the recipe. It is a delicate balance to find the right amount of water without watering down the pasta sauce. The Max can cook a bit hotter than other models. Do you often have trouble?

With only two of us, I might need to invite a few others. I notice no meat. I’ll invite my vegeterian daughter and my granddaughter too.
