Hi Janice – sorry it was too spicy for you. The chipotle pepper adds more smokiness than heat I think, but definitely reduce the chili powder if you don’t like spicy.

So just a note to people who don’t like super spicy food I would eliminate the chipotle pepper and add the chili powder starting with 1 tablespoon and add more to desired level of spiciness.
