It spews steam and liquid non stop and creates a wet mess all over any cupboards and countertops within a two foot radius of the appliance. It has a small receptacle that attaches to the side in order to catch any moisture that puddles around the lip where the lid rests, however this is extremely small in comparison to the amount of vapor/moisture/spray that comes out of the lid during slow cooking. The pressure cooking function has always worked fine for me but as far as this being useful as a slow cooker – I am beyond disappointed. Thankfully I still have a traditional slow cooker because every time I try using my Crock Pot Express for slow cooking, I inevitably get frustrated with the hot mess it creates and have to move my food to the actual slow cooker to finish cooking.
